I don't really sort my photos. I just take them, download them and keep them. I've got a big hard drive, so what?
Each blurry, ill-thought-out shot makes a little mind picture of what the day was like. I've now got around 150Gb of photos and videos. All of which I find a little bit precious. Especially when they stretch back to before I was born.
Here is me today. I am studying my PhD.
Here is me twelve years ago. I am dancing to music.
Here is me seventeen years ago. I am learnding.
Here is me twenty-eight years ago. I am SAVING THE WORLD.
Love 'em all and your latest picture is an eery reflection of my own - if I dared use the computer camera.....
ReplyDeleteThat chalk-drawn map of the world behind you as you're 'learnding' is a classic!
And take that poxy double word verification requirement off!
ReplyDeleteKath - Funny thing is that I've got a whole series of 'Staring blearily at the webcam during study'. One laptop I had you could just click a button and it happened (why?!?). And they AALLLL look the same.
ReplyDeleteI will look into the double word verif. I must admit, I've never actually chosen all the annoying stuff about this bloggo.
I've got stacks of photos stored too, but probably not 150GB worth. That's a LOT of photos. I don't edit any of mine anymore, the photoshop program on my old laptop died and since then there's been no cropping, no filtering....nothing changed. What you see is what I've photographed. Of course you never see any of them because you don't visit.....
ReplyDelete@ Kath, get some cheap $2 magnifying reading glasses and see if they help with the word verification. I have no trouble with it.
I'm doing the same thing right now: https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/2PzNro_SkRDvqrsD18ZrULRSOubDKK_3_GRkaycDdjU?feat=directlink
ReplyDeleteIt appears you have oscillated from carefree youthful exuberance to tedium to exuberance back to tedium again. Good news is you know what's coming next! Maybe you can save the world once you've finished the PhD.
150GB...
Holy craparoly.
ReplyDeleteDo NOT show Mel that photo!
I've already had enoguh trouble getting mine back off her ...
