It was Charlie's 3rd birthday last Friday. His Nanna and Grandad gave him his first proper musical instrument: a guitar! (Or, to us fully-grown people: a ukulele.)
The following video was taken less than a minute after he first tore the wrapping off. What you are seeing here is Charlie's first ever composition and musical performance.
Take it away!
Awww, look at that gorgeous little happy face!
ReplyDeleteI didn't watch all of the vid, these things just take way too long to load for me, but I loved what I saw and heard.
Happy Birthday Charlie!
"I love my Mum and Dad" - okay so my head exploded after that. Very, very cute and that smile...... utterly, deliciously adorable and he's THREE now, ohmygodwheredidthetimego?
ReplyDelete....and how great is it that he's so happy with a $10 ukelele - Sapphire's shopping list for her 13th birthday includes two Wii games, a laptop, more Pandora beads, the Hunger Games trilogy and ..... Cluedo.
She'll definitely be getting Cluedo.
Franzy, can you turn the bloody word verification thingy off - recent changes mean that it now generates two words in fuzzy font, so often I can't see it clearly and get it wrong.
ReplyDelete"I love my Mum and Dad....."
River - No, problem, I'll tell you what happens: proud Dad films son for too long on his birthday.
ReplyDeleteKath - We're trying very hard to not emphasise the presents aspect of birthdays and Xmas (very hard), so that he doesn't turn out like a certain present-obsessed parent ....... (me).
"Mum and Daaaaaaad....." *BA-DOINGOINGOING*
Too bloody cute!

Aw. Be sure to tune it for him and his songs will sound even better.
ReplyDeleteI tried that, but nothing is more nerve-wracking than trying to tighten the strings on a potentially cheap ukulele that a three-year-old has just received ten minutes ago for his birthday.
ReplyDeleteAWWWWWWWW! Can we Skype a duet?
ReplyDeleteI miss the "what's this"...
Oh. :-) Just adorable.
